SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded primary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a full-time, long-term role, starting immediately, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.

The school is Ofsted rated Good, recognised for its strong leadership, clear behaviour systems, and inclusive approach to supporting pupils with a range of additional and complex needs. Staff are well supported, and the school places a strong emphasis on teamwork, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH

• Working 1:1 and in small groups across primary and/or secondary age ranges

• Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation

• Assisting with personal care and life skills where required

• Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN support team

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working within an SEN or alternative provision setting

• Calm, resilient, and patient approach

• Confident managing challenging behaviour

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Available full time and able to start ASAP
