SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Wolverhampton

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £95 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Wolverhampton supporting pupils across primary and secondary age groups with complex needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive environment where pupils receive personalised support to help them engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The setting is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant for day-to-day and long-term opportunities, with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide individual and classroom support, work closely with teaching staff and adapt their approach to meet the needs of pupils with complex SEND.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• Experience supporting pupils with complex needs

• Confidence working across primary and secondary age groups

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• The ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
