Senior Accounts Executive

Position Summary:

Senior Accounts Executive would be part of the finance team and responsible for all accounting activities for Australia and New Zealand business units.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

The Senior Accounts Executive will be a member of the finance team, responsible for supporting all accounting activities.

Core Accounting Responsibilities

•   Process inter-company transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

•   Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and support capital expenditure management.

•   Manage inventory accounting, including analysis, stocktake reporting and related reconciliations.

•   Oversee rentals and leases, including invoicing, job creation, acquisitions, disposals and query resolution.

•   Prepare month-end journals for prepayments, accruals, depreciation and other recurring adjustments.

•   Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items

·      Ensure all records comply with company policies.

 

Reporting, Forecasting and Audit Support

•   Assist with the monthly management accounts submission.

•   Support annual statutory audits and internal audit requirements.

•   Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets under the guidance of the Finance Manager.

 

Team Support and Backup Duties

•   Provide support and backup coverage for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as required.

Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy

Candidate Profile:

Qualification & Certification (if applicable)

§  A relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance, like M. Com / MBA (Finance)

 

Experience

§  Minimum 4 years’ experience in a medium-to-large multinational company

§  Hands-on experience using ERP systems
