Job Description

Visa is seeking an accomplished and visionary executive to serve as Senior Director and Statutory Director of Visa Conecta Brazil, Visa's regulated Open Finance and Payment Initiation entity and a critical growth platform for the company's non-card strategy in Brazil.

Visa Conecta represents Visa's execution arm for Open Finance, account-to-account payments, Pix, and emerging payment experiences, serving as a key enabler of Visa's long-term diversification and growth agenda beyond traditional card-based payments.

This executive will hold end-to-end accountability for Visa Conecta's business performance, growth strategy, product evolution, regulatory stewardship, and organizational leadership. The role combines ownership of a rapidly growing business unit with the responsibility of leading the development of innovative products and capabilities from concept through commercialization.

As a statutory officer of a regulated financial institution, this leader will serve as a member of the Visa Conecta Steering Committee and will maintain responsibilities before the Central Bank of Brazil, ensuring that business growth, product innovation, governance, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance evolve in a balanced and sustainable manner.

The ideal candidate will combine entrepreneurial mindset, strong business acumen, exceptional product leadership, executive stakeholder management, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a complex and highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Unit Leadership & P&L Ownership

  • Own the overall Visa Conecta business strategy, operating model, and long-term growth agenda.
  • Maintain full accountability for Visa Conecta's P&L, financial performance, revenue growth, investment prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and execute multi-year growth plans aligned to Visa's non-card strategy in Brazil.

  • Build alignment across regional and global Visa teams, including Product, VAS, Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Sales and Client Services.
  • Influence cross-functional investment decisions and secure organizational support for strategic initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with key external partners including Open Finance ecosystem participants, technology providers, financial institutions, fintech's, and regulators.
  • Serve as the executive escalation point for major strategic decisions and delivery challenges.

Commercialization & Go-to-Market

  • Lead commercialization strategy, pricing framework and market adoption initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Client teams to accelerate pipeline conversion and client onboarding.
  • Ensure readiness of product positioning, value propositions, client engagement materials, and sales enablement assets.
  • Drive market awareness and thought leadership for Visa Conecta.

Regulatory Governance & Corporate Directorship

  • Serve as a Statutory Director of Visa Conecta and fulfill all responsibilities associated with the governance of a regulated financial entity.
  • Represent Visa Conecta before applicable regulatory authorities, including the Central Bank of Brazil, when required.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory obligations, corporate governance requirements, risk management frameworks, and compliance standards.
  • Actively participate in the Visa Conecta Steering Committee, contributing to strategic decisions, governance oversight, investment prioritization, and business performance reviews.
  • Promote a strong culture of accountability, controls, operational resilience, and regulatory excellence across the organization.

Talent & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team across Product, Strategy, Commercialization, and Program Management.
  • Build organizational capabilities required to scale Visa Conecta.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Coach and develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Establish clear goals, governance, operating mechanisms, and decision-making processes.

  • Demonstrated success influencing senior executives and cross-functional organizations.
  • Experience leading large strategic initiatives with significant business impact.
  • Strong people leadership and organizational development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Fluent English and Portuguese.
  • Experience building businesses or products from zero to scale.
  • Experience working with regulated financial products.
  • Experience in product-led organizations and agile development environments.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Technology, Engineering or related fields.
