About this role

Senior Fullstack Software Engineer

Company Overview

Archera empowers organizations of all sizes to optimize their cloud costs through unique, short-term, insured commitments. Thousands of customers rely on Archera's innovative FinTech solutions to increase their cloud ROI while accelerating revenue objectives and service agility.

Archera's unique cloud rate insurance products and free FinOps platform enable teams to accurately predict and plan infrastructure growth, maximize commitment-based savings, and hedge against market demands and evolving cloud service provider offerings. Archera works closely with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, along with a broad partner ecosystem, to help customers execute financially prudent cloud strategies.

Position Overview

Customers commit real money based on what Archera shows them, which makes the product surfaces you build the place where trust is either earned or lost. As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer on our Core Application team, you will build those surfaces end to end, including the interaction details on the frontend and the APIs, services, and data behind it, and keep improving them based on how customers actually use them. You will report to our Core Application engineering lead and work as a peer to product and design, shaping what gets built rather than receiving it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build customer-facing features end to end, from UI and interaction design through the supporting APIs, services, and data.
  • Own and evolve our API/service layer and data models with the same depth as the frontend.
  • Take features from early prototype to a polished, reliable GA experience, then keep iterating on them.
  • Partner with product and design in shaping what gets built and why, turning ambiguous customer needs into clear scope.
  • Ship behind feature flags, instrument what you build, and run experiments with a stated hypothesis so you know whether it worked.
  • Hold the quality bar on public surfaces: performance, accessibility, and the data accuracy customers rely on to make financial decisions.
  • Use AI tooling heavily to prototype, build, and review faster.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years building customer-facing products, including features you took from concept to GA and owned afterward.
  • Comfortable owning work on both sides of the stack: React and TypeScript on the frontend, and Python API/service on the backend. You can independently own meaningful frontend and backend work.
  • Strong product sense: you translate ambiguous needs into clear requirements, make sound scope calls with the context you have, and give useful critical feedback on designs.
  • Startup-style range: you have owned work at both ends of the stack and moved it forward with limited direction.
  • Comfortable working with real production data: understand data models and flows, investigate customer or production issues, and use data to inform product and engineering decisions.
  • Fluent with AI development tools, and data-driven in how you decide what to build next.

Nice-to-Haves

  • A portfolio of interfaces you are proud of, and experience working closely with designers.
  • SQL, cloud data warehouses (for example Snowflake), and large product or customer datasets.
  • Developer tools, cloud infrastructure, FinOps, data products, or B2B SaaS.
  • Product-led growth, onboarding and activation, or growth experimentation.
  • Early-stage or high-ownership product environments.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Flexible PTO and company holidays
  • Remote-first culture
  • Opportunity to shape and scale a category-defining FinTech platform
