  • Establish project plans and leads teams in the development of new learning content by managing completion of milestones and deliverables
  • Leads others and participates in the design of curriculum, instruction, and assessment materials using knowledge of current trends and best practices in learning and development
  • Lead and manage learning solution design, measurement strategy, and project management
  • Conduct needs analysis with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to define instructional objectives, business outcomes, and overall requirements of learning solutions

The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of world-class programs for the Learning and Development team. This role will continuously improve learning programs using an array of creative approaches that drive productivity and innovation.

This role will consult and lead several projects for Learning and Development across departments with numerous stakeholders, subject matter experts and/or business partners, to create exceptional content focused on adult learning and business results. Must be an exceptional instructional designer, creative e-learning expect and able to mentor other learning professionals.

Summary

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledgeable and functional in technical writing, including consistent and correct use of tense, grammar/spelling and terminology that is interesting and varied

  • Knowledgeable of new learning approaches, technology and tools through continuous research

  • Ability to collaborate on design and development projects as part of a team using consultative, and project management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain consistent delivery on commitments while working effectively in an environment that is constantly changing

  • Ability to communicate difficult concepts and processes using clear and simple language and visuals with individuals, small groups and in front of large audiences at all levels of the organization

  • Familiarity with mobile design guidelines for iOS and Android

  • Ability to grasp the essence of complex design problems and user pain points, and translate them to practical design solutions

  • Ability to accept and design against feedback from colleagues in a rapid iterative design process, and effectively produce multiple work products under tight timeline

Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Curriculum Development, Education, Organizational Development or business required (Master’s Degree preferred) from an accredited college/university

  • 5+ years of experience as an instructional designer or Learning & Development Program manager with demonstrated proficiency in designing, building and deploying instructor and e-learning modules

  • 5+ years facilitating different corporate groups in workshop and/or training experiences

  • Have a deep understanding of learning technologies including eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems

  • Experience with multimedia and web design technologies including video conferencing/webinar technologies

  • Advanced to intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Apps, Microsoft Office Suite, Photo-editing software, MS PowerPoint, Graphic Design software, Photoshop, Illustrator, Presentation applications

  • Advanced to intermediate experience with online, eLearning, and Rapid Development Software such as Articulate, Captivate, or Camtasia

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to execute training, attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.

We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min: $110,387.00 - Mid: $137,983.00
