What’s the role? 

As a Senior Lawyer in our Everyday Banking, Digital & Retail Banking legal team, you’ll provide clear, practical and strategic legal advice across a broad range of retail banking matters. 

You’ll work closely with teams across Westpac to support the development of banking products, respond to regulatory changes and ensure customer communications are clear and appropriate. You’ll also contribute to Westpac’s engagement with regulators and industry bodies, helping the business navigate emerging legal obligations while keeping customers at the center of decision-making. 

This is an opportunity to work on varied and meaningful matters covering payments, customer protection, scams, fraud prevention and the evolving regulatory landscape. You’ll build trusted relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams and help turn complex legal requirements into practical business solutions. 

The role is available on a permanent full-time basis. While most of the team is based in Sydney, we’re also open to candidates located in Melbourne or Adelaide. 

What do I need? 

You’ll bring sound legal judgement and the ability to provide practical advice in a complex financial services environment.
