Senior Manager, Conduct Risk

 What’s the role?  

You’ll play an important role in helping Westpac deliver fair outcomes for customers and the community by supporting the ongoing oversight and continuous improvement of the Westpac Code of Conduct and related conduct risk initiatives. You’ll work across the organization to embed strong decision-making practices and foster a culture of good conduct.   

Working with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance and the business, you’ll help maintain and enhance the Code of Conduct, support alignment between the Code and key policies, develop practical guidance and learning resources, and drive initiatives that strengthen conduct risk capability across Westpac. 

You’ll also provide insights into conduct risk themes, contribute to governance reporting and support assurance activities. You’ll join a collaborative team that values sound judgement, constructive challenge and strong stakeholder relationships.  

This is a permanent role with hybrid working flexibility and can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.  

What do I need?  

You’ll bring a risk mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.  

• Experience in risk, compliance or conduct risk and an understanding of how effective risk management supports fair customer and business outcomes.  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex information into practical insights and actions.  
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and provide constructive challenge where required.  
• Excellent communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to champion the Code of Conduct, act as a visible advocate for good conduct and ethical decision-making, and role model the standards expected across Westpac.
