  • Monitor large-load regulation, transmission planning, and market developments
  • Structure commercial agreements supporting cost, reliability, and scalability objectives
  • Partner with Real Estate, Development, Energy Ops, Sustainability, Construction, Legal, and Finance

Job Summary 

The Senior Manager, Energy Supply & Utility Engagement is responsible for leading utility engagement, capacity development, energy supply origination, and regional power strategy across the Americas portfolio. This role serves as the primary commercial and strategic interface between utilities, transmission providers, regulators, IPPs, renewable developers, and other energy infrastructure stakeholders to secure scalable and reliable power capacity for colocation, cloud, and AI inference data center growth. 

Responsibilities 

  • Regional Power Strategy & Capacity Management: Develop regional power strategies, capacity forecasts, and utility readiness plans supporting new builds and expansions

  • Utility Engagement & Relationship Management: Own executive-level utility relationships and advocate for data center-ready programs, tariffs, and capacity solutions

  • Data Center Development Support: Support site selection, due diligence, utility evaluations, and infrastructure planning

  • Energy Supply Origination: Evaluate and secure long-term supply through utilities, IPPs, wholesale markets, renewable developers, storage, and onsite generation

  • Creative and innovative supply solutions in coordination with Clean Energy and Innovation energy team

  • Utility Connections & Interconnection Management: Negotiate utility service, interconnection, and capacity reservation agreements

  • AI & High-Density Infrastructure: Support power strategies for AI training, AI inference, liquid cooling, and high-density deployments

  • Support onsite, Near-Site & Bridge Power Solutions: Assess generation, microgrids, fuel cells, batteries, and bridging solutions

  • Understand regulatory & Market Intelligence: Monitor large-load regulation, transmission planning, and market developments

  • Commercial Leadership: Structure commercial agreements supporting cost, reliability, and scalability objectives

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Real Estate, Development, Energy Ops, Sustainability, Construction, Legal, and Finance

Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of experience in data center utility management, power development, energy infrastructure, utility engagement, or large-load interconnections

  • Direct experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, cloud, digital infrastructure, or critical infrastructure projects

  • Experience negotiating utility service agreements, connection agreements, and energy supply transactions

  • Deep understanding of transmission planning, capacity management, energy markets, and utility processes

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Energy Management, or related field. MBA preferred

Hybrid Work Arrangement: This position follows a hybrid work model and is expected to be in the office a minimum of two days per week

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
