Role Summary

  •      Responsible for leading end-to-end footwear manufacturing operations across Cutting, Closing, Lasting, Assembly, Finishing, and Packing.
  •      Drive achievement of production targets, quality standards, cost efficiency, delivery commitments, and workforce productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  •      Champion operational excellence, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing practices while ensuring smooth coordination across production functions.

Key Responsibilities

  •      Lead and manage complete footwear production operations across all manufacturing departments.
  •      Develop and execute production plans aligned with customer orders, capacity, and delivery schedules.
  •      Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
  •      Monitor production performance, efficiency, and capacity utilization across manufacturing lines.
  •      Drive operational excellence through process standardization and productivity improvement initiatives.
  •      Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Industrial Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  •      Improve line efficiency, labor productivity, and machine utilization.
  •      Drive lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  •      Analyze production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  •      Optimize manpower deployment and production resources.

  •      Monitor quality KPIs, First Pass Yield (FPY), right-first-time production, and customer complaints.
  •      Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans for major quality issues.
  •      Work closely with Production Planning and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
  •      Ensure on-time completion of production orders and shipment schedules.
  •      Monitor production KPIs and prepare operational reviews for management.
  •      Drive schedule adherence and minimize production delays.
  •      Lead a team of Production Managers, Supervisors, Line Leaders, and Operators.
  •      Build a performance-driven culture focused on accountability and results.
  •      Identify workforce capability gaps and implement training and development initiatives.
  •      Conduct performance reviews and succession planning for key manufacturing positions.
  •      Foster employee engagement, teamwork, and positive industrial relations.
  •      Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  •      Control material wastage, labor costs, overtime, and operational expenses.
  •      Participate in annual budgeting and manpower planning exercises.
  •      Improve manufacturing efficiency while maintaining desired quality standards.
  •      Ensure optimum utilization and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  •      Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime.
  •      Support investments in automation and production technology upgrades.
  •      Monitor equipment reliability and operational effectiveness.
  •      Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and customer audit requirements.
  •      Lead workplace safety initiatives and promote a zero-accident culture.
  •      Drive implementation of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
