What you'll do

  • Prepare EIAs, PCS, and ESIAs, along with associated management plans (e.g., EMMPs), in line with international best practice standards (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles), as well as applicable country-specific requirements and general best practices.
  • Review technical reports and data, translating complex information into clear, well-structured English reports.
  • Coordinate with local authority for approval of EIA/PCS projects.
  • Serve as Project Manager for medium to large-sized projects.
  • Oversee project management activities, including task allocation and direction, subcontractor management, health & safety compliance, monitoring of commercial performance, quality review of deliverables, and client engagement.
  • Expected project delivery activities include report writing, planning and coordinating data collection and field surveys, conducting data and literature reviews, and developing client-focused recommendations.
  • Support or lead technical reviews based on experience.
  • Collaborate with ERM’s global practitioners to deliver projects, working within multidisciplinary teams across multiple offices, while leveraging these relationships to strengthen engagements with key clients through excellence in technical delivery and targeted business development support.
  • Lead and support business development and proposal development activities, including defining technical scopes and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with the team to draft and present proposals, proactively identify and pursue new opportunities, and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat and new business.
  • Mentor junior-level consulting staff to develop their skill sets.

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in environmental consultancy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore’s EIA / PCS process, knowledge of international ESIA is an advantage.
  • High level Excel skills including data manipulation.
  • Ability to undertake and manage complex and interdisciplinary work.
  • The candidate should have experience in developing direct reports, business and client skills.
  • Good leadership, analytical, logic, problem solver and systematic thinking skills.
  • Strong and demonstrable project management experience with a skill set in relevant project management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are desired, along with facilitation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.

ERM has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Senior Environmental Consultant to join ERM based in our Singapore office. As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will contribute your leadership, client relationship, and technical consulting skills to support the delivery of projects for ERM’s business.

We have a diverse client base and your projects will encompass the full project life-cycle.  You will have the opportunity to work closely in a wide range of service areas, to have exposure across industries, and collaborate across borders with our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver best practice consulting and advisory.

To support the successful delivery of ERM projects and objectives by:
