About the Role 

The Senior Payroll Specialist will process multi-state payrolls in the United States and the associated activities such as processing 401k files, coordinating payroll tax filings and system setup for multi-state taxes. In addition, the Senior Payroll Specialist will conduct benefit internal audits, create and process payroll journal entries, and perform payroll reconciliations. The Senior Payroll Specialist will also perform other reporting and reconciliations to assist with the goals of the accounting department and the broader business.

As the Senior Payroll Specialist, you will provide exceptional organizational and analytical strategies to help continue growth of our fast-paced company by mastering the payroll nuances of the US payroll and international payrolls (Bulgaria, Ireland, India, Panama, and UK). A-LIGN will depend on you as the Senior Payroll Specialist to support management through meticulous data audits, payroll processing tasks, and the performance of critical journal entries and reconciliations that underpin our financial integrity.

Minimum Qualifications 

EDUCATION 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics or relevant education and experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in payroll, including activities in support of:Standard Earnings, Non-standard earnings, Taxes, Benefits, Payments   
  • Preferred experience processing payroll for multi-state employees
  • Preferred experience with Workday and CloudPay

CERTIFICATIONS
