What you'll do

  • Own Tasks as your primary focus - shaping it from an early build into a solution that scales to thousands of frontline locations, and driving the roadmap and prioritization calls
  • Partner with an operational-retail domain expert and our internal solution designers to turn a complex real-world problem into the right solution on the Staffbase foundation
  • Work directly with flagship enterprise customers - talking eye-to-eye about their operational reality and turning it into product
  • Keep the wider Actions surface healthy - forms, HR actions, and the existing widget/plugin estate - steering maintenance priorities with the Actions Core team rather than owning the backlog yourself
  • Define what success looks like for operational products: adoption by busy frontline workers first, corporate reporting second
  • Bring an AI-native lens throughout - where an intelligent layer genuinely unblocks a worker, and where it's just noise
  • Help land open strategic calls (e.g. how deeply Tasks integrates into the core vs. lives as a plugin) with senior stakeholders

What they're looking for

  • 5+ years in product management, with a strong commercial / business orientation - you think in customer value and outcomes, not just features
  • A genuine generalist who owns products end-to-end across discovery, delivery, GTM, and stakeholders
  • You thrive in ambiguity and greenfield - you'd rather shape a fuzzy new problem than optimize a mature one
  • B2B SaaS background - you understand enterprise customers and what it takes to roll something out at scale
  • Fast and pragmatic under a real deadline, without losing the end user
  • Confident and opinionated - you hold your own with a senior engineering team on priorities and with leadership on strategy
  • AI-native in how you work and how you think about the product

Nice to have

  • Exposure to deskless / frontline or operational-workflow products (task management, retail/hospitality ops, field service)
  • Hands-on understanding of the action surfaces we work with - Microsoft 365 actions, ServiceNow, HRIS or task-management products specifically
  • Experience taking a product from early build into scaled enterprise rollout
  • Familiarity with permissions / hierarchy models (who creates, assigns, and executes across an org) - a core challenge here

About Staffbase

We inspire people to achieve great things together. Our mission is to help organizations unlock the power of inspirational communication with the first AI-native Employee Experience Platform. Our industry-leading and award-winning agentic AI communications channels - intranet, employee app and email solutions - create engaging experiences that connect and empower employees.

Headquartered in Chemnitz, Germany and New York City, with offices in Berlin, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Prague, and Minneapolis–St. Paul, our diverse team of 550+ employees supports 1,500+ customers—reaching over 14 million employees—in transforming their employee experience.
We are proud to be a Unicorn company—privately valued at over $1 billion—demonstrating strong growth, innovation, and lasting impact in our industry. Together, we’re shaping the future of workplace communication.

At Staffbase, we're moving beyond communication into a new frontier: helping millions of frontline and deskless employees not just find information, but actually get things done. The Actions team owns that execution layer - the bridge between employees, Staffbase AI, and the real operational work happening in stores, warehouses, hospitals, and in the field.

Our biggest bet right now is Tasks - the product that lets an enterprise's HQ push operational standards to thousands of locations and see them executed on the ground, driven by a major new partnership. Around it sits a portfolio of agentic actions, forms, and HR workflows that make Staffbase a place where work happens, not just where it's announced.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to seize this moment. This is a 12-month fixed-term role - and we mean that as a feature. It's a rare chance to make an outsized, visible impact on Staffbase's expansion into operational territory, with senior leadership attention and real revenue behind it, without signing up for the long corporate haul. If you're a builder who loves 0-to-1 energy and wants to point it at a concrete, high-stakes problem for a year, this is for you.

You're a commercially-minded generalist, comfortable in ambiguity, fast-moving, and able to hold the whole picture - customer, business case, and build - in your head at once.

What you'll be doing

What you need to be successful

Highly desirable

  • Exposure to deskless / frontline or operational-workflow products (task management, retail/hospitality ops, field service)
  • Hands-on understanding of the action surfaces we work with - Microsoft 365 actions, ServiceNow, HRIS or task-management products specifically
  • Experience taking a product from early build into scaled enterprise rollout
  • Familiarity with permissions / hierarchy models (who creates, assigns, and executes across an org) - a core challenge here

What you'll get

  • Competitive Compensation - we offer an attractive salary
  • Flexibility - we offer flexible working time models and the option of hybrid work, and support this with a yearly flex work allowance of €1560
  • Recharge - with 31 vacation days annually (incl. one floating holiday), plus pro rata fully paid Fridays off during August
  • Volunteers Day - you’ll get one day off per year for supporting a social project
