  • Acting as subject matter expert (PI) for GLP residue studies. Managing project form from project planning, execution to reporting.
  • Hands on method development and validation of extraction techniques and instrumentation optimisation.
  • Sound knowledge in operating, developing methodology for test equipment including HPLC-UV/RF, GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS.
  • Reviewing data acceptability according to international recognised criteria and troubleshooting
  • Liaising with customers on project milestones and reporting on test results
  • Writing of test method protocol , work instructions and other Laboratory Quality Manual Documents.
  • Training chemists, technicians and laboratory assistants in new procedures and techniques. Verifying training for Staff Training Records.

Eurofins Agroscience Australia/New Zealand is a leading provider of analytical services, regulatory consulting and technical support to the crop protection industry, seed businesses and veterinary medicine companies. Job Description

We are seeking a highly technical, customer focus experienced senior residue chemist in Girraween, Western Sydney. As a senior chemist, you will assist the Laboratory Manager to conform to internal standards, policies and procedures and external legislative requirements.  

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Acting as subject matter expert (PI) for GLP residue studies. Managing project form from project planning, execution to reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BSc in Chemistry plus 5 years’ experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a ‘can do’ attitude, excellent team player and willing to work collaboratively as part of a productive and safety-focused team.
  • Quick learner, able to pick things up fast, and versatile in approach.
  • Team player who can work well with others.
