Overview
The role is with a multi-site food Manufacturer producing for major retailers. The ideal candidate will be working as a Quality Manager and be able to demonstrate results they have had. The role would suit a tried-and-tested Quality Manager, Senior Quality Manager or Technical Manager
Role Responsibilities
The core purpose of this position is to be responsible and accountable for delivering the long to medium term and strategic direction for the safe, efficient and cost-effective management of the technical and hygiene function on site. This will be achieved by meeting agreed targets and objectives whilst influencing staff at all levels to maintain and where possible improve food safety and GMP standards. The day-to-day hygiene responsibilities will sit within the Hygiene Supervisor’s position with any major quality or safety issues escalated to and managed by the Site Manager or Head of Technical. The Quality Manager will be responsible for setting and auditing the standard of hygiene on site.
As site Quality Manager you will be reporting to the Head of Technical and will be accountable for the technical, hygiene and QA activities within the factory with responsibility for driving the technical agenda supported by a multi-disciplined team. The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured by the Company meet safety, quality and legal requirements. This will be achieved by monitoring and maintaining the Company and the customer’s quality assurance systems, food safety audits and HACCP.
