Job Summary
We’re seeking a talented Rigging Artist to design and implement high-quality character, creature, and prop rigs for our upcoming games. You’ll collaborate closely with modelers, animators, and technical artists to ensure smooth, flexible, and efficient rigs that bring our characters to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality production-ready rigs for characters, creatures, props, and vehicles.
- Develop animator-friendly control systems that support efficient animation workflows.
- Build advanced deformation systems and skinning solutions for stylized and realistic characters.
- Collaborate with modeling and animation teams to ensure assets meet rigging requirements.
- Create rigging tools, automation scripts, and pipeline improvements to enhance team productivity.
- Troubleshoot rigging, skinning, and deformation issues throughout production.
- Optimize rigs for real-time game engines while maintaining animation quality.
- Work with Technical Artists to ensure smooth integration into game pipelines.
- Establish rigging standards, documentation, and best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level rigging artists through reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Experience creating rigs for both bipeds and non-human characters.
Nice to have
- Experience with facial rigging and blend shape workflows.
- Experience developing pipeline tools and artist-facing utilities.
- Previous experience mentoring artists or leading rigging initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years as a Rigging in games, film, or animation.
- Software: Proficiency in Maya (primary), with experience in Blender or 3ds Max a plus.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, deformation, and real-time engine constraints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
- Good understanding about topology for joint deformation based in skin
