What you'll do
- Responsible for the overall engineering function on site with particular emphasis on setting out and implementation of correct levels across the site.
- Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and the general workforce involved in the project to promote the accuracy of the information.
- Reviewing detailed design and where necessary to critique and communicate with designers to ensure adequate information is available for construction.
- Coordinating the development of design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings and technical information from subcontractors.
- Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
- Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved without compromising on safety, quality or integrity.
- Ordering and control of materials on site.
- Maintaining site records pertaining to the engineering function.
- Checking plans, drawings and implementation of setting out coordination.
- Attending regular meetings with the team and interacting continuously.
- Safety, Sustainability and Quality management coupled with BCAR co-ordination.
- Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site and ensuring that regulations, best practice and internal standards are adhered to and achieved.
