What you'll do
- Translate business and technical needs into solution-ready BA artefacts that enable design, build, integration and test teams to deliver against a clear, well-defined set of requirements.
- Support the testing lifecycle, including input to test planning, test case/scenario definition, and support through test execution and defect triage.
- Process models covering current and target-state underwriting workflows
- Functional requirements specifications that are clear, testable and traceable
- Data flow diagrams and system handoff definitions
- Controls documentation and policy-lifecycle data movement mapping
- User stories, acceptance criteria and other DevOps backlog updates
- Input into, and maintenance of, the technical delivery plan

We are seeking an experienced, technical Senior Business Analyst to support delivery of a new underwriting workbench platform. The successful candidate will translate business and technical needs into solution-ready BA artefacts that enable design, build, integration and test teams to deliver against a clear, well-defined set of requirements.
Key Focus Areas:
- APIs and system-to-system interactions
- Data mapping, data definitions and mapping rules
- Integration requirements across underwriting and policy systems
- Policy lifecycle data movement and downstream data flows
- Definition of data quality rules, mandatory fields, data ownership and validation points/controls to ensure accurate, complete and usable underwriting data
- Gap analysis between source and target data, and definition of data transformation rules
Key Deliverables:
- Process models covering current and target-state underwriting workflows
- Functional requirements specifications that are clear, testable and traceable
- Data flow diagrams and system handoff definitions
- Controls documentation and policy-lifecycle data movement mapping
- User stories, acceptance criteria and other DevOps backlog updates
- Input into, and maintenance of, the technical delivery plan
- Growing working knowledge of the client's underwriting systems to support end-user training, enhancements and adoption
Requirements

- Experience of workbench implementations with a data/system feed into a policy administration platform is essential.

- Experience collaborating directly with external vendor delivery teams as part of a wider project team
