We are seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Technical SEO Specialist to join our growth marketing team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will lead the architecture, technical health, and organic performance of our digital platforms. 

Because Meds.com operates in a fast-evolving web landscape, you will partner directly with engineering, product, and content teams to solve complex indexing challenges, optimize Core Web Vitals, and scale web performance to maximize organic traffic and conversions. 

Responsibilities

  • Technical Site Audits & Health: Conduct ongoing technical SEO audits across web properties to identify and fix crawl errors, indexation bottlenecks, render issues, broken links, and site architecture inefficiencies. 

  • Core Web Vitals & Speed: Partner with engineering teams to monitor and improve page load times, mobile performance, render-blocking scripts, and overall Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS). 

  • Information Architecture & Structuring: Optimize site navigation, XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, canonicalization, and internal link equity to maximize crawl budget and keyword visibility. 

  • JavaScript & Dynamic SEO: Audit and resolve rendering issues related to dynamic framework execution (React/Next.js/Node environment context). 

  • Structured Data: Implement and validate advanced Schema.org markup to expand rich snippet capabilities in search results. 

  • Log File Analysis: Analyze server logs to track search engine bot behavior, identify crawl budget waste, and optimize path priorities. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the technical SEO expert embedded within product and web development sprint workflows, ensuring technical SEO requirements are baked into every site release. 

  • Performance Tracking & Analytics: Monitor organic rankings, site metrics, and crawl stats using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and enterprise analytics; communicate findings to stakeholders. 

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5-6+ years of dedicated technical SEO experience, ideally within e-commerce, telehealth, or high-volume DTC web platforms. 

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (client-side vs. server-side rendering), HTTP status codes, and web hosting architectures. 

  • Tooling Expertise: Advanced hands-on experience with technical SEO toolsets, including: 

    • Google Search Console & Google Analytics 4 (GA4) 

    • Crawling tools (Screaming Frog, Deepcrawl/Lumar, Botify) 

    • SEO Suites (Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz) 

    • Speed & Performance tools (Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, WebPageTest) 

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities to spot trends in raw data and convert technical issues into prioritized tickets for developers. 

  • Communication: Ability to distill complex technical SEO needs into clear visual specs, stories, and business cases for product managers and engineers. 

  • Local Presence: Located in Austin, TX area for hybrid/in-office collaboration.
