Shift Supervisor - Plastic

Job Summary Our Client is looking for a Shift Supervisor who will be responsible for managing and supervising team, setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality products in the plastic department. This role involves monitoring the extrusion process, adjusting settings, ensuring product specifications are met, and conducting routine maintenance tasks. He/she plays a critical role in maintaining production efficiency, quality standards, and overall safety within the manufacturing facility Responsibilities Responsibilities include supervising the team to meet production targets, setting up and operating machinery while adjusting equipment for product specifications,monitoring production processes, and ensuring product quality through regular checks. Additional tasks involve troubleshooting and resolving minor equipment issues to minimize downtime, performing routine machinery maintenance, collaborating with the team to coordinate raw material supply, maintaining accurate production and maintenance records, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and training new team members on equipment operation and maintenance. Requirements A diploma or equivalent is required, with additional technical training or certifications considered a plus. Experience in managing a team and expertise in plastic injection molding, rotational molding (tanks), or pipe extrusion. With a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Candidates should have proven ability to operate extrusion machinery, understand extrusion processes. Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with safety protocols and technical manuals is essential, along with a detail-oriented approach focused on quality and efficiency. Effective communication, teamwork skills, and physical stamina are also necessary.
