About the role:
SMSF Accountant – Perth Business Advisory Team
Location: Perth, WA
Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career? Join RSM’s Perth Business Advisory team and play a key role in our SMSF processing division.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative team, delivering high-quality compliance services for Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs) while supporting other SMSF specialists.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare SMSF work papers and financial statements in line with current legal and accounting standards.
- Liaise with SMSF auditors and resolve queries promptly.
- Identify and address relevant accounting and compliance issues.
- Assist with client meetings and prepare supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with lodgement programs and deadlines.
About you:
What We’re Looking For
Education:
- Essential: Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting major
- Desirable:
- CA or equivalent (completed or in progress)
- SMSF Specialist course
Experience & Attributes:
- 1–2 years in a similar role
- Proficiency with Class Super
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
