About this role

What We Do

Rillet serves accounting and finance teams—the financial brains of their companies. Our job is to help them run the numbers with impossible speed, accuracy, and insight.

Rillet is the AI-native ERP that middle-market and enterprise companies trust for revenue recognition, multi-entity consolidation, and investor reporting. To enable real-time finance and a continuous close, Rillet rebuilt the general ledger from the ground up for the AI era. Rillet serves companies from Series A through the public markets, including Mercor, Scribe, and Function Health, and is a certified partner of top accounting firms like EY and KPMG.

This huge market is ours to take. We have raised $100M+ from leading investors, including Sequoia, a16z, Iconiq, Oak HC/FT, and First Round, to help everyone run their numbers at the speed of AI.

Who We Are

Rillet’s pace is not for everyone. Intelligence is table stakes. To succeed here, you need extreme speed, agency, and flexibility.

The people who thrive at Rillet do not wait for assignments. They internalize the mission, design a strategy, and bring back results that are better, faster, and more creative than a manager could have asked for.

Our work revolves around our customers. The people who succeed here are energized by delivering what matters most, even when it was not part of the original plan.

Rillet is built on deep accounting expertise, and it takes people from many disciplines to build a category-defining company. You do not need to be an accountant to thrive here. You do need to care deeply about the problems we solve and the impact our customers can create. Together, we combine the precision of accounting with the speed, creativity, and ambition of AI-native software to power the financial core of the world’s fastest-growing companies while redefining what finance teams should expect from their software.

Who We Need

We are building an accounting & finance software that will be industry-defining, and we need someone to help Rillet transition to the next company phase. We’ve grown quickly over the past few months and are expanding our GTM team to accelerate this trajectory. You’ll work directly with the CEO, the GTM, and the Product teams to help prospects evaluate Rillet as their next ERP. As an early member of Rillet's GTM team, you’ll be uniquely positioned to build strategies, test hypotheses, and lay the foundation for Rillet’s GTM motion for the future.

We’re primarily looking for teammates within commutable distance of our New York City or San Francisco offices, or those willing to relocate. For this role, we’re also open to remote candidates based anywhere in the United States.

Office-based team members work in person Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day. Certain roles may require more in-office time based on the needs of the function.

What You'll Do

  • Remove technical objections
You’ll play a key role in the sales cycle by addressing all technical questions of potential customers. Specifically, you’ll understand their business requirements and existing technology stack, clearly articulate how Rillet will be integrated, and improve their processes. You’ll take part in sales conversations and will be able to answer the vast majority of technical questions immediately, without the need to circle back with the Product team.

  • Perform sales demonstrations
You’ll set up the sandbox environment and tailor the data to showcase each customer's key specific use cases. You’ll deliver high-impact demonstrations, answering questions along the way and adapting based on the customer’s needs. You’ll be their consultant in the purchase process.

  • Execute relentlessly
Work cross-functionally to provide front-line prospect feedback to founders and product teams in close to real-time. You will experiment with different demo styles, help write thoughtful follow-ups to customers, and become a highly responsive advisor to our prospective customers. You’ll roll up your sleeves and accelerate velocity.

  • Represent Rillet
You’ll be the face of the company and will apply high customer empathy and structured problem-solving to ensure every prospect interaction is delightful. You’re comfortable marketing to a user with high finance and accounting proficiency, and your knowledge about the domain will be furthered in the process.

Who We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of industry accounting experience, involving various accounting areas including revenue recognition, month-end close, and multi-entity consolidation.

  • 2+ years of experience supporting the sales cycle with implementation and/or customer support for accounting/financial solutions.

  • Knowledge of the ecosystem of tools in the office of the CFO.

  • Excellent communicator who can make complex concepts easy to understand and knows how to write and speak conversationally.

  • Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while keeping a high attention to detail.

  • CPA certification or having started your career in audit, a plus.

Life at Rillet

  • Grow with us. Take meaningful ownership, expand your scope, and make an impact as Rillet scales.

  • Competitive pay and meaningful equity. Be rewarded for the value you help create.

  • Benefits that support you. We offer medical and dental coverage, including up to 100% of employee premiums and 90% of dependent premiums, along with a 401(k), flexible PTO, nine company-wide holidays, and paid parental leave for eligible employees.

  • Better together. We’re hybrid-first, with teams centered in New York City and San Francisco, as well as select remote roles. Our offices are stocked with snacks, we regularly provide lunch and dinner, and we make time to connect as a team.
