Maureen Joy Charter School is seeking a Special Education (EC) Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Maureen Joy Charter School is accepting applications from joyful, passionate, creative, and dedicated Special Education Teachers (grades K-8) who are committed to fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Our K–8 school is dedicated to providing a rigorous academic program and a strong social-emotional foundation that nurtures and challenges each student to grow academically, socially, and personally.

As a Special Education Teacher, you are adept at creating supportive and effective IEPs that address individual student needs. Your organizational skills ensure meticulous management of Exceptional Children (EC) paperwork, deadlines, and data collection in strict accordance with relevant regulations. As a team player, you are eager to work collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines to integrate and optimize learning strategies and accommodations for our students. You enjoy partnering with families through facilitating IEP meetings and on-going communication. In alignment with our mission, we are seeking dedicated educators who are committed to anti-racist principles and who represent the diverse identities and backgrounds of our school community. You are coachable and eager to receive and act on constructive feedback to improve your teaching practice.
