Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a high-performing, dynamic PR and communications leader to serve as Sr. Manager, Theatrical PR. This role will develop and execute best-in-class earned media campaigns for Amazon MGM Studios' theatrical slate, from global tentpoles and branded IP to original films with industry-leading filmmakers and talent. Reporting to the Head of Global Theatrical PR, this leader will be responsible for crafting complex, multi-faceted PR strategies that drive cultural conversation, build anticipation, and maximize impact from production through theatrical release and awards.
As Sr. Manager, Theatrical PR, you will build, lead, and inspire a team of publicists while working collaboratively across marketing, distribution, awards, and international teams to deliver integrated campaigns that serve both creative and business objectives. You will serve as a strategic counselor to senior executives, filmmakers, and talent, providing guidance on reputation management, media strategy, and communications opportunities. This role requires the ability to nimbly and effectively navigate senior stakeholders in a matrixed, fast-paced organization, and to manage competing priorities with poise and precision.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering high-impact, innovative earned media campaigns for major theatrical releases. Must possess deep expertise in the evolving media landscape, strong relationships with top-tier entertainment and consumer press, and demonstrated success managing communications for high-profile talent and filmmakers. Must have the ability to manage crisis communications swiftly and effectively in service of mitigating reputational and financial risk. Should understand global box-office metrics, the festival and convention landscape, and the cultural dynamics that fuel audience engagement.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
