Job Description

The Senior Product Development Specialist (RFID/Intelligent Label) will be responsible for leading the product design, material innovations and construction development for RFID label and tag products across the NAP region. This role focuses on the physical stack-up, material selection (facestocks, release liners, functional adhesives), and structural design to ensure seamless RFID inlay integration and superior product performance across diverse industrial and retail applications.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• 1. Material & Structural Construction Innovation:

Responsible for new RFID material development and construction design to meet customer needs, enabling RFID technology into more and more industries.

• 2. End to End new product development progress leadership:

Responsible for leading RFID new product or component development from ideation stage to post launch stage, and provide technical support for RFID application from material science perspective.

• 3. Cross BU & Regional collaboration:

Responsible for working with IL product team across business units and multiple countries in the North Asia region, to design and develop new products and solutions.

• 4. New opportunities screening:

Responsible for working with commercial business development team and sales team to understand industry and applications, as well as identify , screen and consolidate real innovation opportunities.

• 5. Technical problem solving:

Work with global IL experts to build technical communication and network, solve critical technical problems in NAP.

• 6. Drive business growth:

Work with different functions to deliver intelligent label business growth results every year.

Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

• Master degree or above,  digital, engineering, chemical, material science related degree.

• +5 years related work experience in RFID/inlay structure design, understanding the RFID mechanism and how RFID labels/tags are being produced. 

• Understanding of adhesive technology in the label and tape industry will be a plus.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups as well as suppliers / customers to define and execute overall requirements and continuously evolve our product portfolio to form technical advantages in the industry.

• Business acumen, execution through the innovation process and delivering the results as planned.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to use AI/digital tools in daily work.

• Good command of English both in oral and written.
