Supplier Quality Senior Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in project kickoff meetings with internal engineering teams and suppliers to clearly communicate company standards and project-specific quality requirements.
• Work closely with suppliers to drive defect prevention, continuous improvement, and strict adherence to project quality and technical specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections, including dimensional, welding, coating, and P&ID verification.
• Issue inspection reports, punch lists, or Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) if necessary. Actively track and drive corrective actions through to proper closure.
• Oversee and audit Vendor Quality Records (VQR), including material certificates, as-built drawings, WPS/PQRs, welder qualifications, NDT reports, coating logs, and FAT report, to ensure timely submission and compliance.
• Perform quality audits and evaluations for prospective suppliers and compile formal assessment reports.
• Document and communicate lessons learned to foster continuous improvement and cross-project knowledge sharing.
• Assist internal project engineering teams with quality requirement interpretations and support overseas teams with China-based vendor inspections.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial experience, with at least 3 years specializing in supplier quality management and continuous improvement.
• Solid knowledge of chemical process equipment, such as hoppers, silos, filters, heat exchangers, steel structures, piping, blowers, and industrial valves.
• Strong familiarity with Chinese and international codes (e.g., GB/T 150, NB/T 47003.1/2, SH/T 3513, ASME B16.5). Knowledge of Chinese TSG pressure vessel regulations is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with quality investigation tools and methodology, including root cause analysis, corrective action and preventive action.
• Good communication in English (read, spoken and written).
• High work ethics, good communication skills, strong team orientation, and self-direction.
• Willingness and capability to travel frequently to supplier manufacturing sites (approx. 40% travel).
