• Support cost improvement initiatives by reducing failures, improving capacity, and using supplies wisely; reduce work in process, queues, and cycle times.
• Work closely with the Technology Transfer group to implement new processes into the manufacturing floor, and with cross-functional teams to develop tools that facilitate production.
• Maintain the Training Matrix for all team members and ensure ongoing compliance with training requirements.
• Work with the procurement team to ensure synthesis chemical/reagent supply meets production needs, including regularly scheduled conference calls with suppliers as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate select lab equipment.

• Laboratory management experience, including hiring, training, and performance management of technical staff.
• Outstanding communication skills and emotional intelligence; able to present data effectively and prepare technical and analytical reports.
• Self-motivated and passionate about delivering world-class DNA-based products.
• Comfortable working in a LEAN manufacturing / controlled laboratory environment.
