What you'll do

  • Oversee the tactical implementation of KGS’s supply chain risk management plan.
  • Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers.
  • Own KGS vendor management. Develop spend strategies, identify potential suppliers, analyze supplier capabilities, select suppliers and determine prices, terms, and conditions of agreements; including managing daily purchasing activities to enable efficient and timely execution of engineering design, build, and test activities
  • Work with engineers on procurement strategy and Bill of Materials to ensure preferred vendor selection in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Be responsible for execution and review of the KGS Business System modules for logistics, inventory, and property management.
  • Be a business partner to Professional Services leadership team and executives, providing insights to help shape the strategy of the business
  • Provide strategic guidance to area leadership teams, bringing deep knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, inventory and property management best practices.

In this role, you will work directly with government customers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to execute and document strategies to provide KGS with optimal suppliers, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance. In addition, this role will oversee the delivery logistics on a global scale to include inventory and property management of both Government and commercial assets.

You will work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have strong business judgment, dive deep into data, and be comfortable with processing tactical actions such as on-boarding vendors. Candidates must be able to Multi-task different business operation tasks within Amazon, commercial industry partners, and Government customers. The best candidates will have deep understanding of prioritization and task completion.


Key job responsibilities

This position is in Northridge, CA. Some travel, both domestic and international, will be required.

Security Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
