Staff Engineer — Falcon Developer Community

JLL | AI Engineering | Full-Time

About the Role

JLL's central AI Engineering team builds the AI systems that power a $20B global real estate firm. Falcon is the developer-facing layer of that stack — the API our engineering organization builds against, alongside shared RAG services and the MCP toolchain behind JLL GPT.

The platform is ahead of its adoption. Capabilities ship centrally, and engineering teams across Tel Aviv, the US, Europe and APAC find out late, adopt unevenly, or rebuild what already exists. This role closes that gap.

You will own the Falcon developer community: knowing what is being built, getting it in front of the engineers who need it, and carrying what they tell you back to the platform team. This is an engineering role, not a programs role — your credibility comes from shipping on the platform you advocate for.

What You'll Do

Primary — the Falcon developer community

- Own how Falcon capabilities reach engineers: sessions, internal writing, release communication, and the working relationships that make adoption stick.

- Stay close to the platform, infrastructure, and developer tooling teams so you know what is landing before it lands.

- Build and run a network of AI champions inside engineering teams — adoption spreads through peers, not announcements.

- Feed real usage signal back into platform priorities: what engineers actually adopt, what they work around, and what they ask for that does not exist yet.

- Contribute hands-on to Falcon. You ship code on the platform, not only about it.

As the community work establishes

- Represent engineering in JLL's AI governance forums — which AI tools we approve, which models we use, and what safe adoption looks like in practice.

- Own the engineering side of our relationships with frontier AI vendors.

- Help build JLL's AI and Data Science presence in Israel through local meetups and technical events.

Must Have

Experience

- Shipped production software, with recent hands-on work in Python and at least one of Node or Java.

- Driven AI adoption across an engineering organization you did not manage — tooling, practices, or enablement that people actually took up.

- Used AI coding tools as a core part of your engineering workflow, not occasionally.

- Worked with cloud-native infrastructure and modern CI/CD.

- Experience leading or mentoring engineers, formally or otherwise.

Traits

- You write clearly and publish often. Much of this role is written.

- Comfortable in front of a room and in a pull request, on the same day.

- Strong written and verbal English — this is cross-team, cross-timezone work.

- You build influence without authority, and you would rather solve a problem than escalate it.

Good to Have

- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks and tool-use patterns (MCP, Claude Agent SDK, or similar).

- Run a developer community, champions program, or internal technical event series.

- Exposure to AI governance, security review, or responsible-AI practice in an enterprise.

- Active in the local AI engineering community.
