Full description from employer

At Citymapper (a Via company), we’re on a mission to help make complex cities more accessible to everyday users. Our application transports millions of people in hundreds of cities around the world by giving them access to the most current and sophisticated transport options available. We make getting around your favourite city easy, so that you can enjoy the ride.

As Strategy & Operations Manager at Citymapper, you will lead a talented team of Analysts who play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Citymapper's data. This is a hands-on, leadership-first role: you'll coach and develop your team, remove blockers, and create the conditions for them to succeed. Sitting at the intersection of product, engineering, and commercial teams, you will help set priorities, solve complex problems, and ensure the team's work drives meaningful improvements for Citymapper and its users.

About the Role

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to align priorities and deliver high-impact improvements across the platform.
  • Shape the evolution of the team's tools, workflows, and automation, partnering with engineers to build systems that scale with the business.

  • Bonus points if you have experience working with data, Python, and/or common transit data formats (GTFS, TransXChange, SIRI, HAFAS, etc.), but it's not a requirement. What matters most to us is your curiosity: the willingness to dive into new topics, figure things out, and keep learning.
