What you'll do

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for the Customization Department within the distribution center.
  • Oversee daily order processing activities to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Order Allocation to ensure all orders are properly allocated and shipped and billed on time.

  • Monitor customization documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Identify and resolve order processing or documentation issues that may impact shipping or billing deadlines.
  • Oversee departmental payroll activities and ensure employee time records are accurate and completed according to established procedures.
  • Oversee the receipt and management of contractor trim inventory.
  • Ensure trim inventory is received accurately and in accordance with applicable Purchase Orders.
  • Review inventory receipts and address discrepancies between received materials and purchase order requirements.
  • Supervise, lead, coach, and support department staff.
  • Coordinate employee work schedules, staffing, and vacation requests to ensure daily operations and workload requirements are met.

Job Description: The Supervisor, RES reports to the Customization Manager and is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and efficient workflow within the distribution center's Customization area.

Job Summary:  This position oversees order processing, order allocation, customization documentation, payroll, contractor trim inventory, staffing, scheduling, and employee performance. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: The Supervisor works closely with Customer Service and other departments to ensure orders are entered correctly, shipped and billed on time, inventory is accurately received, and daily departmental operations are completed efficiently and effectively. 

Duties/Responsibilities:  

Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for the Customization Department within the distribution center. 

Oversee daily order processing activities to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently. 

Coordinate with Order Allocation to ensure all orders are properly allocated and shipped and billed on time.

Ability to prioritize work and balance changing daily workflow.

Ability to identify picking errors and workflow issues. 

Ability to meet productivity and accuracy goals. 

Ability to work independently while supporting the supervisor and department team. 

Basic computer skills and ability to complete work reports. 

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 

Ability to communicate effectively with associates, supervisors, and other departments. 

Education and Experience: 

High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:  

Ability to stand and walk throughout the distribution center as needed. 

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. 

Ability to regularly move between office, warehouse, and customization work areas. 

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move around the work environment as required. 

Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials or inventory as required by the department. 

Ability to visually inspect inventory, trim, order documentation, labels, and computer information for accuracy. 

Ability to work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and other typical warehouse conditions.
