  • 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure, troubleshooting, systems administration, networking, DevOps or applications development experience
  • 2+ years of building complex software systems experience
  • 2+ years of storage devices experience, or experience in similar technical roles
  • Experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service, or experience in Linux/RHEL
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities and experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting
  • Experience with automation or working with scripting languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP
  • Knowledge of security best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of & experience deploying and operating Windows, Linux or other UNIX variants in a datacenter environment or AWS cloud.
  • Experience in building infrastructure as code, Chef recipes, AWS Lambda, etc.

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases, or experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites

Amazon Finance Technology is looking for a Systems Engineer to help build systems and automate solutions. You will support critical finance business functions for customers around the world while meeting availability goals and ensuring robust system performance. You will discover innovative ways to automate and scale our infrastructure as we expand globally. You will work together with multiple teams and departments, with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.
The ideal candidate has a passion for understanding computing systems and for applying that understanding with an obsession for delighting customers. In this role, you will apply your skills with system administration, network management, and scripting languages, as well as technical communication and project organization to make your impact on improving our business processes.
As an Engineer in the team, you will take part in in the architecture, design, implementation and deployment of large-scale Infrastructure and complex software systems. You will get to leverage your experience and expertise to deliver innovative solutions to challenging problems. You will communicate your ideas effectively to achieve the right outcome for your team and customer. You enjoy collaborating with others to increase the effectiveness of the overall team. The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
