  • Research, synthesize, and structure complex information into something a busy executive can act on.
  • Build presentation-ready deliverables - documents, frameworks, decks, or tools - that hold up without heavy editing.

  • Demonstrated ability to structure and communicate complex information clearly in writing
  • Comfortable working with data, templates, and structured frameworks — and comfortable when none exist yet

  • Fluent with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and AI-enabled tools, with a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Collaborative across functions and levels; curious, proactive, and eager to learn

Summer Internship

Our Summer Internship is designed for students leading into their final year of university, who want to gain real life work experience in a fast past, exciting and professional environment.

As a Summer Intern, you will participate in onboarding with the UR team that will set you up for success in your role. You will also benefit from professional development sessions, networking, and social events provided by the Internship Program.

The program takes place from June – August 2027 (10-week program).

Your Role

As a Talent Growth & Inclusion intern, you'll own a meaningful piece of an enterprise-level Talent Management project - spanning career development, performance, learning, inclusion, or leadership development. You'll work directly with the Talent Growth & Inclusion team, People Partners, and subject matter experts. You'll be expected to ask good questions, form a point of view, and present it - not just execute a task list.

What you'll do

  • Take a loosely defined problem and turn it into a clear plan: what you're solving, what you need to know, and how you'll get there.
  • Research, synthesize, and structure complex information into something a busy executive can act on.
  • Build presentation-ready deliverables - documents, frameworks, decks, or tools - that hold up without heavy editing.
  • Communicate proactively: flag blockers early, surface what you've learned, and tell us when your thinking has changed.
  • Present your work and recommendations to the team, and to People & Culture stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Critical thinking. You don't stop at the first answer. You ask why, look for what's missing, and can explain the reasoning behind your recommendation — not just the recommendation.
  • Creative problem solving. You're comfortable when there's no template. You generate options, weigh trade-offs, and try a different angle when the first one stalls.
  • Communication, written and verbal. You write clearly and concisely for the reader in front of you. You speak up in meetings, ask the question you're not sure you should ask, and keep people informed without being chased.
  • You own the outcome, not just the effort. You meet commitments, tell us early when you can't, incorporate feedback the first time, and check your own work before it reaches someone else's desk.

How we work with AI

We use AI at Veeam every day, and we want you to use it too. But we're specific about how.

AI is a tool for extending your thinking — pressure-testing an idea, accelerating research, drafting a starting point, checking your logic. It is not a substitute for it. Interns who thrive here use AI to get further, faster, and can still explain every choice in their work, defend it under questioning, and tell you what the model got wrong. Work that's been outsourced to a model shows immediately, and it doesn't meet our bar.

If you're curious about applying AI to make career, learning, and performance experiences more personalized and scalable, you'll have room to run with that here.

Requirements

  • Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree, or a graduate student, at an accredited college or university — studying Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • Strong interest in talent development, career growth, performance, learning programs, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, or change management
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and communicate complex information clearly in writing
  • Comfortable working with data, templates, and structured frameworks — and comfortable when none exist yet
  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to track tasks, feedback, and deliverables across multiple workstreams
  • Fluent with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and AI-enabled tools, with a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Collaborative across functions and levels; curious, proactive, and eager to learn
