Are you looking for a new Teaching Assistant opportunity? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are recruiting on behalf of secondary schools across Middlesbrough seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students in KS3, KS4 and KS5 settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on young people's education, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
About the role:
- Supporting students aged 11-19 across all year groups, depending on your preference and experience.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Providing tailored academic and pastoral support on a 1:1 basis.
- Supporting small groups of students, typically between 3-5 pupils.

Pay, Hours and Contract:
- Pay: 15 - 17 per hour
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Contract: Full-time, temporary position with the potential to become permanent
- Start Date: September 2026
- Location: Middlesbrough
Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school, education, childcare, youth work or support-based setting is desirable.
- Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching & Learning, childcare or related qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Confident supporting students on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, positive and proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK.
