What you'll do
- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, tutorials and other scheduled teaching across Business Management-related subjects.
- Support students in their academic learning and provide appropriate guidance, tutoring and consultation.
- Lead modules where allocated, including planning delivery, preparing learning materials and coordinating module activities.
- Contribute to the development and leadership of modules and programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Develop, set, mark and moderate assessments in line with University requirements.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate academic and assessment records.
- Contribute to the development and review of modules, curriculum content and the wider Business Management subject area.
- Participate fully in University and Faculty quality assurance processes and comply with relevant academic policies and procedures.
- Support programme teams with course reports, programme and assessment boards, student recruitment, enrolment, induction and Faculty events as required.
- Engage with relevant industry, professional practice and external stakeholders to enhance curriculum relevance and student employability.
- Contribute to scholarly and research activity and maintain current subject and professional knowledge.
- Work collegiately with academic and professional-services colleagues and undertake other duties appropriate to the level of the role.

- A PhD, or equivalent relevant experience, in Business Management or a related field.
- The candidate’s highest academic qualification must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a UAE Ministry of Education equivalency certificate.
- Relevant Higher Education teaching experience in Business Management-related subjects, with approximately 2–3 years of teaching experience.
- Strong subject knowledge across areas such as Innovation and Technology Management, Leadership and Change Management, Leadership and Business Sustainability, Contemporary Issues in Sustainable Business, Ethical and Responsible Leadership, Business Strategy, Advanced Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and Business Simulations.
- Experience of developing and managing curriculum, including the development of teaching, assessment, modules and/or programmes.
- Experience of teaching or training students within a Higher Education, professional and/or industry environment.
- Ability to lead modules, prepare teaching materials, develop assessments, mark student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Evidence of scholarly or research activity with realistic potential for publication in international refereed journals.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional and collaborative academic team.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and meet academic and administrative deadlines.

De Montfort University Dubai is seeking a Teaching Fellow in Business Management for an 11-month fixed-term appointment to provide high-quality, student-centred teaching and academic support across relevant undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The postholder will contribute to module delivery, assessment, student support, academic administration and the continued development of the Business Management subject area.
The role requires strong subject expertise across Business Management, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Strategy, effective teaching practice, and the ability to support students within a British higher-education environment. The postholder will work collaboratively with programme and teaching teams and contribute positively to the wider academic life of the Faculty.
