Tool Room Machinery Engineer

Job Summary Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool Room Machinery Engineer to manage, maintain, and repair all machinery and equipment in the tool room. The ideal candidate will ensure that tools and machines operate efficiently and remain in optimal condition to support production and maintenance activities. Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and maintain tool room machinery such as lathes, grinders, milling machines, CNC equipment, and other precision machines. Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on tool room equipment and ensure minimal downtime. Manufacture, modify, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications. Inspect and measure finished tools and parts using precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure compliance with tolerances. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment in the tool room. Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to meet tooling and machining requirements. Keep accurate maintenance logs and documentation of repairs, calibrations, and modifications. Identify areas for continuous improvement in machine performance and tooling processes. Requirements Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Proven experience (3+ years) in tool room operations and machining in a manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of tooling, precision machining, and metalworking techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Skilled in using measuring instruments and maintaining quality standards. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
