Your Team, Your Impact

The VP, Optical Sales leads Marvell's global Optical Sales organization, driving revenue growth and strategic customer engagement across Hyperscaler and optical module partner accounts. This role owns the global optics go-to-market strategy, commercial execution, and customer relationships that underpin Marvell's optical business, and serves as a strategic partner to the Business Units on resource allocation and commercial priorities. The VP, Optical Sales reports to the SVP Sales, APAC and Global Optical Modules and is based in Santa Clara, California.

What You Can Expect

  • Own global optical revenue, bookings, design wins, and forecast accuracy across the Optical Sales organization.
  • Lead global optics go-to-market strategy in partnership with Sales, the Business Units, and key Hyperscaler and optical module customers.
  • Lead global account strategy, commercial execution, and resolution of customer escalations.
  • Serve as a strategic peer to the Business Units, influencing business strategy, resource allocation, and commercial priorities.
  • Drive cross-functional execution in partnership with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Identify and mitigate geopolitical and supply chain risks affecting the global optics business.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing global sales organization, ensuring strong talent development and succession planning.
  • Partner with the SVP, AsiaPac Sales and Sales Operations on pipeline management, forecasting rigor, and territory/account coverage models.

What We're Looking For

  • 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the semiconductor or optical networking industry, including direct experience with Hyperscaler and optical module / Active Electrical Cables (AECs) customers.
  • Proven track record owning global revenue, bookings, and design-win targets at scale, with strong forecast discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic partner to Business Unit leadership, influencing product and resource-allocation decisions.
  • Experience leading distributed, global sales teams, including dotted-line management across regions.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience partnering across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Sound judgment navigating geopolitical and trade-related risk in a global commercial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Willingness to travel globally as required to support key accounts and regional teams.



Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
$320,000 - $346,000 per annum




This role is eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company's long-term success.
