  • Projects may include water and wastewater treatment facilities, water mains, force mains, lift stations, booster stations, rehabilitation projects and gravity sewers
  • Assist engineers with project design and drawing, such as developing construction plans, cost estimates, and specifications using design tools such as AutoCAD or REVIT
  • Assist with field work or construction related services including construction observation, shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, and perform field inspections, as needed

Gain practical experience in civil engineering focusing on water/wastewater projects with our team as a Water/Wastewater Civil Engineer Co-op. In this role, you'll work alongside early career and experienced engineers to gain an understanding of water/wastewater design and consulting. You'll gain hands-on experience across areas that could include sewers, mains, lift and booster stations, rehabilitation projects, and water and wastewater treatment facilities while developing the technical skills and problem-solving abilities that will create a foundation for your career.

What You’ll Do

Skills & Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate student in good academic standing pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program and completion of one year coursework required
  • Previous co-op experience is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word required
  • Ability to learn PDF markup/review tools, such as BlueBeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to learn AutoCAD, REVIT, and GIS design software packages, direct experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate, learn, and grow
  • Availability to work part time Fall 2026 Semester
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record; some travel may be required

Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 20 – 30 hours per week. Housing and transportation to/from work is the responsibility of the co-op, parking is provided.
