  • Lead, coach and coordinate the Processing WHS Team, ensuring consistent safety coverage across all shifts and site areas.
  • Act as the primary WHS representative on the site Senior Leadership Team, reporting on safety performance, risk and improvement priorities.
  • Translate Group and Business Division WHS strategy into operational safety plans for Processing, and drive delivery of agreed WHS KPIs.
  • Build relationships with operational managers and supervisors across Processing, coaching leaders and embedding safety accountability.
  • Lead incident investigations, including ICAM investigations, and manage regulator liaison for Processing incidents.
  • Conduct systems-based inspections, compliance audits and risk assessments across Processing, tracking corrective actions to closure.
  • Implement and help develop the Harvest Road Group Safety Management System and site-level documentation for Processing.
  • Drives site implementation of Group WHS requirements (training, communication, review and reporting).
  • Provide specialist WHS advice to the Project Management team on contractor works, including compliance document review and engagement in project delivery and governance.
  • Support the Emergency Response Team and advise on fire and hazardous-materials detection, monitoring and warning systems.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive WHS Superintendent to provide strong safety leadership and drive health and safety performance across our operations.

The Opportunity: 

We have a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced WHS Superintendent to join our Safety team, based in Harvey, Western Australia.

You will join a supportive and collaborative team based at Harvey Beef, Western Australia’s largest beef processor.

A key focus of this role will be to provide operational safety leadership for Harvey Beef Processing. You will lead the Processing WHS team’s day-to-day performance, embedding consistent, proactive safety practice across all shifts and operational areas.  You will work closely with the site Senior Leadership Team and the Processing WHS team to translate Group and Business Division WHS strategy into practical operational safety outcomes on site.

  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills. 
  • Strong computer and digital skills. 
  • Flexible across a multi-shift environment.
