What you'll do

  • Own the whole cycle. Target-account development, outbound prospecting, discovery, solution design, proposal, pilot, negotiation, closure, expansion.
  • Build a pipeline that doesn't exist yet. Across AI companies, model developers, AI-native businesses, and enterprises building or deploying AI.
  • Get into rooms with people who decide things. Heads of AI, Heads of Data, CIOs/CDOs, AI Product leaders, and AI Research/Evaluation teams.
  • Ask better questions than the competition. Consultative discovery to understand the customer's specific AI evaluation, validation, training, or domain-expertise gap.
  • Translate fluently in both directions. RLHF, model evaluation, red-teaming, fine-tuning, human-in-the-loop workflows — turned into a business case.
  • Stay honest about what we can deliver. Work closely with our research, expert-sourcing, and delivery teams.
  • Design the deal. Pilot and commercial structures — scope, pricing, success criteria, expansion pathways — built with leadership.
  • Own commercial discussions through procurement and contracting, coordinating internally on legal, compliance, data handling, and IP.
  • Stay close to strategic accounts through delivery, and use client feedback and outcomes to find expansion and repeat business.
  • Bring the market back inside. Feed intelligence into positioning, use cases, pricing, and sales strategy.
  • Be visible in the ecosystem. Build Infollion's presence in AI/ML through the right conversations, networks, events, and communities.

What they're looking for

  • Exposure to B2B sales / business development, with meaningful exposure to complex, consultative, multi-stakeholder transactions.
  • Experience in consultative or solution selling, where understanding the customer's problem is central to the sales process — not a step you rush past on the way to the pricing slide.
  • Demonstrated ability to build pipeline through prospecting and outbound business development.
  • Ability to operate in a 0→1 environment and create structure where a mature sales playbook does not yet exist. You will be writing that playbook, mostly by being wrong a few times first.
  • Strong enough understanding of the AI/LLM ecosystem and development lifecycle to engage credibly with AI and data leaders. Credibly — not by reciting last week's headlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical buyers and senior business executives.
  • Strong commercial judgment across qualification, pricing, deal structuring, and negotiation.
  • Genuine curiosity about how AI systems are built, evaluated, and deployed — and where human expertise adds value.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling AI/ML, data, AI evaluation, data services, expert networks, enterprise SaaS, research, consulting, or other complex professional services.
  • Existing relationships with AI, data, technology, or digital leaders in large enterprises or AI companies.
  • Experience selling into AI labs, model developers, AI-native companies, or enterprise AI programs.
  • Familiarity with AI procurement, pilots, data/IP considerations, and enterprise contracting.
  • Experience operating across multiple stakeholders, functions, and geographies.

Full description from employer

About US:
Infollion Research Services Limited, incorporated in 2009, is a listed B2B human intelligence and expert network platform connecting organizations with senior professionals and subject-matter experts across industries. Our clients include global management consulting firms, private equity and hedge funds, and leading enterprises that rely on experienced professionals for research, decision-making, and specialized business needs.
Over more than a decade, we've built a deep and credible network of domain experts across pharmaceuticals, chemicals, industrials, financial services, and more. That was the quiet part. This role is the loud part.

Business Development Lead — Human Intelligence for AI(Third Eye):
An AI model can now write a fluent, confident, well-structured answer about drug safety, specialty chemicals, or credit risk. Whether that answer is correct is an entirely different question — and answering it usually takes a human who has spent twenty years in the field.
That gap is a business. We're hiring the person who will go sell it.
What Third Eye actually does & mean in our business: AI systems can generate increasingly sophisticated outputs. But in many domains, expert human judgment remains essential to determine whether those outputs are correct, useful, safe, and commercially relevant.
Our new product - Third Eye applies Infollion's domain-expert network to high-value points across the AI lifecycle: model evaluation, preference data, expert validation, red-teaming, and domain-specific testing.
Put plainly — someone has to grade the machine's homework. We know exactly who those people are.

Role - What you'll actually do
Own the whole cycle. Target-account development, outbound prospecting, discovery, solution design, proposal, pilot, negotiation, closure, expansion. All of it. There is no one to hand the baton to halfway.
Build a pipeline that doesn't exist yet. Across AI companies, model developers, AI-native businesses, and enterprises building or deploying AI. You'll decide who matters and in what order.
Get into rooms with people who decide things. Heads of AI, Heads of Data, CIOs/CDOs, AI Product leaders, and AI Research/Evaluation teams — to find where expert human judgment is genuinely required.
Ask better questions than the competition. Consultative discovery to understand the customer's specific AI evaluation, validation, training, or domain-expertise gap.
Translate fluently in both directions. RLHF, model evaluation, red-teaming, fine-tuning, human-in-the-loop workflows — turned into a business case that works for a research lead and for the executive signing the cheque.
Stay honest about what we can deliver. Work closely with our research, expert-sourcing, and delivery teams so that what you propose is commercially viable and operationally real. Selling something we can't build is not a win.
Design the deal. Pilot and commercial structures — scope, pricing, success criteria, expansion pathways — built with leadership.
Then close it. Own commercial discussions through procurement and contracting, coordinating internally on legal, compliance, data handling, and IP.
Don't disappear after signature. Stay close to strategic accounts through delivery, and use client feedback and outcomes to find expansion and repeat business.
Bring the market back inside. Feed intelligence into positioning, use cases, pricing, and sales strategy so the playbook keeps improving.
Be visible in the ecosystem. Build Infollion's presence in AI/ML through the right conversations, networks, events, and communities.
Who we're looking for -

Helpful, not deal-breakers
    • Experience selling AI/ML, data, AI evaluation, data services, expert networks, enterprise SaaS, research, consulting, or other complex professional services.
    • Existing relationships with AI, data, technology, or digital leaders in large enterprises or AI companies.
    • Experience selling into AI labs, model developers, AI-native companies, or enterprise AI programs.
    • Familiarity with AI procurement, pilots, data/IP considerations, and enterprise contracting.
    • Experience operating across multiple stakeholders, functions, and geographies.
Why this one is worth reading twice
    • It's a genuine 0→1 mandate — inside a listed company with a decade-plus expert network already built. Ambition without the usual runway anxiety.
    • You'll sell into one of the few categories where the buyer is still figuring out what they need. That's harder. It's also where the interesting deals are.
    • Your feedback loop is short: what you learn in the market changes our positioning and pricing, not a slide in someone's quarterly deck.
If this sounds like you:
Experience level: 0 to 15 years. If it's 0, prove your potential. If it's 15, show us your closures. Everything in between should be able to argue its own case.(If you read the "0 to 15 years" line and felt personally addressed, apply.)
The last mile of artificial intelligence is a human being. Come sell it.
