  • Health promotion and coaching providing information or education to patients that makes positive contributions to their health status, such as cessation of tobacco use, reduction in the misuse of alcohol or drugs, improvement in nutrition and physical fitness, family well-being, control of stress and pregnancy and infant care including prevention of fetal alcohol syndrome.
  • Health education to teach or promote methods and measures that have been proven effective in avoiding illness and/or lessening its effects.
  • Provide culturally appropriate health information and education to patients, such as assist with providing language translation services for patients who do not speak English.
  • Provide culturally relevant health education regarding social determinants of health that may impact the patient, and ensure family members also understand health information and education provided to the patient.

A Brief Overview

  • Provide culturally relevant health education regarding social determinants of health that may impact the patient (such as cultural foods, traditions, etc.), and ensure family members also understand health information and education provided to the patient.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • High School or GED Equivalent
