As an Employability Skills Trainer in our Restart Serco team, you’ll help deliver meaningful learning that boosts confidence, builds practical skills, and supports people into sustainable employment. Your work will directly shape opportunities for individuals across Cardiff.

This role plays a vital part in our commitment to creating impactful solutions that support communities and future growth. You’ll deliver engaging, high‑quality training that helps learners progress toward employment, both in person and online, while contributing to a positive learning environment and a more confident future for participants.

What you’ll do as an Employability Skills Trainer

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Deliver employability skills to cohorts of learners through face‑to‑face workshops, online learning platforms, and remote systems.
  • Lead engaging group sessions, workshops, and one‑to‑one support as required.
  • Complete formative diagnostics of learner progress to ensure they’re on track to gain employment.

Vetting and checks:

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
