  • Experience in semiconductor materials, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, advanced materials, or related industries.
  • Hands-on experience with synthesis reactions, reaction optimization, distillation, purification processes, and bench-scale organometallic chemistry techniques.
  • Experience with process modeling software such as Aspen, Visimix, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Stage-Gate methodologies, or other structured product and process development frameworks.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, continuous learning mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement.

The Role: 

Our site in Toronto is seeking a Engineering Technician, New Product Development to join our Scale-up and Manufacturing Readiness team. This position will be based in our Toronto facility.  

 

In this role, the Engineering Technician, New Product Development is a key player on a dynamic team responsible for performing process development work, small scale engineering runs, and scale down of operational issues. The ideal candidate is highly capable in the lab, is hands on, and has a high mechanical aptitude. The individual should exhibit the ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment focused on safety and quality. Ideally the individual is knowledgeable in synthetic chemistry, analytical chemistry and chemical engineering. The Engineering Technician, New Product Development partners cross-functionally and communicates across groups to support developmental projects in the Toronto, ON facility.
