Executive Manager/Manager (Innovation and Systems Section) – Contract

[What the role is]

In the Vector Control Policy Department (VCPD), you will support the planning, implementation and scaling of technology-enabled solutions to strengthen public health operations, with primary responsibility for the Autonomous Pavement Sweeper (APS) project.

You will work closely with internal divisions, government agencies, service providers and technology vendors to translate operational requirements into practical technology solutions, conduct trials and support their implementation and operationalisation.

This role offers an opportunity to work on the design and scaling of autonomous cleaning operations in Singapore’s public parks, while gaining experience in technology implementation, procurement, trials, stakeholder engagement and operational transformation.

[What you will be working on]

A key area of responsibility will be the planning, implementation and scaling of APS deployments in parks, including the development and validation of the enabling infrastructure and operating arrangements needed for sustainable autonomous cleaning.

 

You will be responsible for the following:

 

• Plan and oversee the design and implementation of APS-enabling storage, charging and supporting infrastructure across selected parks.
• Manage procurement, funding, contract administration, project timelines and risks relating to APS infrastructure and deployment.
• Conduct site and feasibility assessments to identify suitable parks and infrastructure locations, taking into account operational, technical and safety considerations.
• Coordinate with relevant agencies, contractors, service providers and technology vendors on project implementation, regulatory requirements and operational integration.
• Plan and coordinate APS deployment, testing and trials across selected parks, including operational readiness and issue resolution.
• Develop and refine the Concept of Operations (ConOps), operating protocols, governance arrangements and performance standards for APS deployment.
• Monitor project and pilot performance, analyse operational data and recommend improvements to infrastructure design, deployment arrangements and operating processes.
• Prepare progress updates and recommendations for management and coordinate officers supporting project implementation.
• You may also support other related technology-enabled workstreams / projects.
