Are you ready to take the first step toward a management career in hospitality? At Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam North Riverside, we’re looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Management Trainee to join our Food & Beverage team. This role offers the perfect balance of hands-on operational experience and leadership development, preparing you to take on managerial responsibilities in the future. 

Our hotel, one of the largest Holiday Inn Express properties in Europe, boasts 438 modern rooms and a picturesque location along the IJ River. We pride ourselves on creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional service and innovative dining offerings. As a Management Trainee, you will be empowered to take initiative, drive improvements, and lead with confidence while working with our dynamic and diverse team. 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Oversee daily operations in the bar, restaurant, and breakfast areas, ensuring smooth service delivery and team efficiency. 

  • Assist with staff supervision, including task delegation, scheduling, and performance feedback. 

  • Support management in implementing hotel standards, operational processes, and service improvements. 

  • Take ownership of training and mentoring team members to maintain a high standard of service. 

  • Collaborate with senior management to identify opportunities for operational and guest experience enhancements. 

  • Assist with inventory management, cost control, and compliance with health and safety regulations. 

  • Contribute to strategic planning by analyzing guest feedback and operational data to optimize processes.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • Currently pursuing an MBO/HBO degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field. 

  • Affinity for hotels and hospitality, with an eagerness to grow into a leadership role. 

  • Fluency in English (Dutch proficiency is an advantage). 

  • Eligibility to work in the EU/EEA or enrollment in a Dutch institution, as visas, permits, and sponsorships are not provided.
