What you'll do
- Performing Winding inspection, electrical testing, maintenance and repairs on Generator HV windings on customer sites globally.
- Carrying out basic mechanical strip-down (and rebuild) of machines to gain access to the generator windings.
- Carrying out electrical testing on high and low voltage windings in the field.
- Carrying out visual winding inspections of the stator, rotor and excitation system.
- Carrying out in-situ generator winding repairs including stator re-wedge work.
- Working as part of a team for on-site stator strip and rewind operations.
- Assisting mechanical service engineer(s) on assignments, which will not necessarily involve winding related activities.
- Supervising and training internal and external customers.
- Interpreting technical drawings, specifications and technical requirements; prepare method statements and prepare detailed and concise reports for submission to customers. Attend technical meetings on site and at customers premises.
- Carrying out an on-site risk assessment on every assignment.
- Carrying out other reasonable duties as directed from time to time by the Field Service Manager

Our Americas team is growing to support the demand in the region and this includes a hub in Houston and Brazil that will support our growing demand for more Field Service Engineers.
