Role: HR Generalist

Function: Human Resources
Location: Bangalore, India
Employment Type: Contract (6 months)

Role Purpose

The HR Generalist will be responsible for delivering day-to-day HR operations and employee support across the employee lifecycle. The role will partner closely with employees, managers, HR Business Partners and Centres of Excellence to ensure smooth execution of HR processes, compliance and employee experience.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Manage HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, changes in employment, and exits.

  • Ensure employee records and HR systems are accurate and up to date.

  • Coordinate documentation and approvals for employee movements and changes.

  • Support employees and managers with HR-related queries.

2. HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure timely completion of HR processes.

  • Maintain employee data and documentation in HR records.

  • Coordinate with Payroll, Finance, IT, Facilities and other stakeholders on employee-related matters.

  • Prepare HR reports, trackers and dashboards as required.

  • Ensure HR processes are consistently followed across the organisation.

3. Employee Relations

  • Maintain appropriate documentation and confidentiality of employee information.

  • Escalate complex or sensitive matters to the HRBP/HR leadership as appropriate.

4. Benefits & Compliance

  • Support administration of benefits and employee-related programmes.

  • Coordinate with relevant teams/vendors on benefits and fulfill compliance requirements.

  • Maintain appropriate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

5. HR Projects & Process Improvement

  • Support HR projects and initiatives across the organisation.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve HR processes.

  • Support implementation of new HR policies, systems and processes.

  • Work with HRBPs and COEs on organisation-wide initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in HR generalist/HR operations roles.

  • Good understanding of employee lifecycle processes and HR operations.

  • Experience working with HRIS/HR systems; Workday experience would be an advantage.
