A Day in the Life

The Human Resources function partners with business leaders to align people strategies with business priorities across Medtronic operations in India and subcontinents. This role supports multiple business units and collaborates closely with commercial and leadership teams to drive organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership development, succession planning, and change initiatives that enable sustainable business growth.

This position is based in Gurgaon, India, with Mumbai as an alternate location. The role operates under a Flex work arrangement.

The Senior HR Generalist serves as a strategic Human Resources partner to business leaders across India and subcontinent region. The role focuses on translating business priorities into people strategies, advising leaders on talent and organisational matters, and supporting business transformation, growth initiatives, and workforce effectiveness. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership teams to enhance organisational performance and leadership capability while fostering a high-performing and agile workforce.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree with MBA and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience partnering directly with senior leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting organisational transformation, change management, and business growth initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial, operational, and workforce data to influence business decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters, conducting investigations, and ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies.
