About this role

Aureol Global Connections is looking for an Instrument Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial instrumentation and control systems. They ensure that instruments used to measure and control process variables such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level operate accurately and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, calibrate, and commission field instruments and control systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation faults and control system issues.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Calibrate transmitters, sensors, gauges, control valves, and analyzers.
  • Inspect and maintain PLC, DCS, and SCADA-related field instrumentation (where applicable).
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records.
  • Coordinate with engineers and maintenance teams during shutdowns and commissioning activities.
  • Identify equipment defects and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience as an Instrument Technician in industrial, oil & gas, power generation, manufacturing, mining, or process plant environments.

Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles and industrial control systems.

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Experience with calibration equipment and diagnostic tools.

Knowledge of HSE regulations and safe work practices.

Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
