Location: Witham, Essex
Pay: £100 – £105 per day PAYE
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Working Pattern: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Parker Smith Inclusion is working in partnership with a rapidly expanding specialist SEND school in Witham, supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with a range of additional needs, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH and SLD.

Many pupils require structured, individualised support to help them regulate their emotions, build confidence and engage positively with learning.

The school has a strong nurturing and child-centred ethos, with personalised support plans designed around the individual needs of every pupil.

We’re now looking for dedicated, patient and resilient Learning Support Assistants to join the team on a temp-to-perm basis.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, supporting both their education and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.

You'll provide the consistency, encouragement and structure pupils need to feel confident and make progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Supporting learning activities both inside and outside the classroom.
• Helping pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Implementing personalised strategies set by teaching and SEND teams.
• Encouraging independence, communication and engagement.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and wider support staff.
• Remaining calm, patient and consistent when situations become challenging.
• Providing personal care where required, always with dignity and respect.
• Being flexible and supporting pupils across different areas of the school.

This is a role where the relationships you build can have a genuine impact on a pupil's confidence, progress and long-term development.
